FAQ

What is in-person identity attestation?

In-person identity attestation is a formal third-party statement confirming that an individual appeared in person, presented original identity documents for physical inspection, and was interviewed under a standardised methodology. The findings are recorded in a signed Identity Attestation Certificate, providing defensible assurance for high-trust decisions.

How is this different from a background check?

A background check is compliance screening: it verifies criminal records, employment history, and credit. It applies no professional judgment. Levencontra provides human-led, in-person examination with physical document inspection and structured interviews, delivering a professional opinion and defensible third-party assurance that a records check cannot provide.

How is this different from digital identity verification (KYC)?

Digital KYC platforms perform automated document checks, scanning IDs and matching faces. They conduct no behavioural assessment and apply no human judgment. Levencontra conducts in-person examinations with physical inspection of original documents and structured interviews, providing professional judgment on identity credibility that automation cannot replicate.

What do I receive after an engagement?

You receive a signed Identity Attestation Certificate confirming the in-person examination, and a Confidential Risk Assessment Memorandum with a qualitative professional opinion on identity-related risk. For insider risk engagements, you also receive an Insider Risk Interview Report with risk flags and recommended mitigations. A post-assignment briefing walks through the findings.

Who uses Levencontra’s services?

Boards, private equity firms, law firms, banks, family offices, and government agencies use Levencontra when the cost of getting identity wrong exceeds the cost of verification. Clients include executive search firms, employers hiring for sensitive roles, and organisations appointing advisors, partners, or executives where trust must be defensible.

Where do examinations take place?

Examinations take place at client-designated locations: your office, a neutral professional venue, or another suitable location. Levencontra is a mobile practice operating across North America, with international engagements by arrangement. All examinations are conducted in person; logistics are agreed during the arrangement phase.

How long does an engagement take?

The in-person interview typically takes 60 to 90 minutes. Deliverables (the Identity Attestation Certificate and Risk Assessment Memorandum) are provided within 5 business days of the interview. Timelines for scoping and arrangement are agreed with you before work begins, based on location and availability.

How much does it cost?

Base engagements are $7,000 to $7,500, covering the Identity Attestation Certificate and Confidential Risk Assessment for a single individual. Complex or executive cases are $10,000 to $15,000 or more. Insider Risk Interview Services are $7,000 to $10,000. Travel is billed separately at cost. Pricing is confirmed in writing before work begins.

Is my enquiry confidential?

Yes. Every enquiry and engagement is conducted under strict confidentiality. We publish no client names, no case studies, and no testimonials. The assurance we provide is discreet by design: your enquiry, the examination, and the findings remain confidential between you and Levencontra.

What is an insider risk interview?

An insider risk interview is a structured in-person interview assessing insider risk indicators for employees, contractors, and advisory board members. It covers behavioural risk factors, organisational loyalty, external affiliations, and susceptibility to compromise. Findings are delivered in a confidential Insider Risk Interview Report with risk flags and recommended mitigations.

Can you research someone’s history as well as verify their identity?

Yes. The Historical Profile add-on provides a detailed historical breakdown of a person of interest from public sources: digital footprint, public records, corporate affiliations, litigation and adverse media. It is designed as a companion to in-person attestation, so you get the person and their paper trail verified together.

Is the Historical Profile available on its own?

It is designed as an add-on to an attestation or interview engagement. Standalone engagements are considered by arrangement; contact us to discuss.
